Goals
- Ensure 100% on-time delivery for all client-facing technical projects.
- Reduce ambiguity in requirements before development began , minimizing rework and scope creep.
- Streamline communication between external stakeholders and internal engineering teams.
Approach
I implemented a structured intake process that required all critical details to be captured and signed off before a ticket moved to development. This alone reduced late-stage clarification requests by eliminating ambiguity at the source.
I established daily stand-ups, weekly progress reports, and a blockers log visible to both the client and engineering lead , creating a shared source of truth that removed guesswork from status updates. By the end of my tenure, the process had become the team's standard operating model.
Outcomes
- 100% on-time delivery maintained across all assigned projects over 2.5 years.
- $50K client contract renewed following consistently high delivery standards and relationship management.
- Reduced rework by ~25% through upfront requirements clarity and structured intake protocols.
- Improved client satisfaction scores through transparent, proactive communication on every project cycle.
Successful project management is 80% communication. Clear expectations and proactive updates prevent most issues before they become critical. A good coordinator doesn't just track tasks , they remove the conditions that create problems in the first place.
